Easter Disappointment at Windows on the Lake – Not Worth the Hype!

My Honest Review After a Terrible Experience at Their Easter Event

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after attending the recent Easter event at Windows on the Lake, I feel obligated to share my experience and warn others before they waste their time and money.

Let me start by saying — I DO NOT recommend Windows on the Lake for special events based on what I experienced this Easter.

 Here’s What Went Wrong:

  1. Poor Organization & Chaos at EntryFrom the moment we arrived, it was a mess. No clear directions, uncoordinated staff, and a long wait just to get in. Not the kind of welcome you expect on a holiday, especially one meant for families and kids.

  2. Extremely Underwhelming FoodThe food was cold, bland, and far from what was promised in their promotions. The buffet setup looked rushed, with half-empty trays and no proper refills. For the price we paid, I expected at least decent quality — this was nowhere close.

  3. Disappointed Kids = Angry ParentsWe were excited for the advertised Easter Bunny and kids' activities. But guess what? The "Easter fun" was barely there. The bunny appeared for a few awkward minutes, and the activities were either unstaffed or poorly managed. Total letdown for the little ones.

  4. Overcrowded & LoudThey clearly overbooked the event. It was noisy, chaotic, and uncomfortable. No space to enjoy, no ambiance, and definitely no sense of celebration. It felt like they prioritized profits over guest experience.

Not Worth the Time, Money, or Energy

We came with high hopes and left completely disappointed. For an event that was supposed to be joyful, this felt like a badly managed cash grab.

To anyone considering booking an event at Windows on the Lake — think twice. There are far better venues out there that actually care about their guests.
